PROLOGUE

Ammorella sat at the table, listening to the news as she ate her soup. Her ears perked up when she heard the familiar chatter of another fox on the TV. “Today, we have a special guest. Welcome Pearl Barks to the stand.” Ammorella picked her bowl up and put it in her lap so she could look right at the screen. “Hello, I’m Pearl Barks. Head resident of Town Huckleberry. Recently, one of my kits, Finn Barks, has disappeared out of thin air and we don't have any evidence or traces of where he went. We’ve heard more reports of this happening, and we are trying to ensure that every kit, vixen, and tod stay safe.

Pearl took a pause, which gave Ammorella time to slurp up another spoonful of chicken broth. “Although, we aren’t sure if we’ve put enough safety measures in place. Parents, please keep watch on yourself and your kits. We do not want another incident.” A shiver ran down Ammorella’s spine as she watched Pearl go offscreen with the saddest look in her eyes. She put her bowl back down on the table and ran upstairs to tell her mother about the news.

Her mother looked up as she spat out all the words with fearful eyes. “Oh, baby... I knew. I knew a lot. I was scared too, do want a hug?” Ammorella shook her head. “I’m just going to go to my room... Can I have some screentime?” Ammorella’s mother nodded. “Yes, but be safe online, please.” Ammorella walked back to her neatly organized room, sitting down in her chair and powering on the old family computer.

CHAPTER ONE

Yuki was sitting inside the principal’s office, as the co-owner of Elemental Elementary. She was writing a form to have Cinnamon send out to the school, until something, someone got into the document she was working on. All the blank spaces on the form were suddenly filled with morse code and symbols or letters that looked like Hindi. It was strange, yes, but Yuki wanted to find out who did it.

Yuki caught a glimpse of a cursor with a name darting across the screen. Ammorella? That’s a pretty name, although I don’t know ‘Ammorella’. She thought. She called on the intercom into Cinnamon’s classroom “Ms. Cinnamon, please meet Yuki Feilds in the front office, thank you.” Just then, Yuki heard the familiar click-clack-pitter-patter of Cinnamon’s paws.

“What’s the matter, Yuks?” Cinnamon said, peaking around the corner awkwardly. Yuki turned around her monitor to face Cinnamon. She had not erased it yet, just in case. “Somebody infiltrated the form I was working on... I checked the profile, and their name is ‘Ammorella’, I want to see what’s the big deal, but I think I need your help.” Cinnamon commented, “We’ve dealt with things like this so many times. Why don’t we look around? Find evidence?

“You’re right I guess,” Yuki said, turning the monitor back around. She typed something. She could tell Amorella was a fox kit by her profile picture. Who are you? Are you here causing harm? Ammorella responded, No. At least, not now. I really hope I didn’t mess up anything. Although, I need help from you... I’ve been stuck in this computer for StarClan knows how long. Yuki couldn’t believe it. There was a fox kit, stuck in a computer? “So?” Asked Cinnamon.
